Operating under Quantum Securities Ltd, Mr. Ahmed developed a multi-million pound property empire. Property holdings encompass both residential and commercial spaces across:

Café Naz

Founded in 1996, Café Naz quickly became more than a restaurant—it became an institution. Known for its high-end Bangladeshi cuisine, modern decor, and celebrity clientele, Café Naz elevated South Asian dining in the UK. The brand expanded nationally with branches in:

• Cambridge
• Cardiff
• Horsham
• Chelmsford
• Multiple locations in London

The flagship branch in Brick Lane became symbolic of the area's cultural revival. Despite a tragic bombing incident in 1999, which Mr. Ahmed narrowly escaped, Café Naz was a beacon of resilience and excellence.

Distribution and Export

• Sylto Distribution Co. Ltd: Established in 1978, focused on wholesale of electronic goods
• Sylto Plc: Transitioned into a public company in the 1980s, exporting products to Spain, Portugal, Germany, Italy, and the US
• Asian Foods Ltd: A distribution and marketing arm that supplied ethnic food products across the UK and Europe

Financial Services

Mr. Ahmed founded Milfa Sterling Exchange Co. Ltd in 1999, the first Bangladeshi-operated private exchange house licensed by the Bank of England. It provided crucial financial services for the Bangladeshi diaspora.

Travel and Tourism

At one point, Mr. Ahmed ran the largest travel agency for Bangladesh Airlines in the UK, starting from a modest shop on Brick Lane.

Media, Arts, and Entertainment

• Launched Naz Cinema, acquiring and transforming an old Odeon theater to screen Bangladeshi and Bollywood films
• Produced and distributed music recordings for artists from Bangladesh
• Introduced Bengali cultural content to a wider British audience, laying the foundation for British-Asian media representation

Food Manufacturing

In 2005, Mr. Ahmed acquired Marshalls and Rayners Bakery in Merton, South West London. The facility—spanning over 13,000 square feet—produced ready meals and bakery items, expanding his footprint in food production and wholesale.
